At Children’s Friend, we believe the earliest years of life shape everything that comes after. We’re looking for compassionate, motivated Early Interventionists (Level I & II) to partner with families and support the growth and development of infants and toddlers (birth to age three) with developmental delays or diagnosed conditions.
This is meaningful, hands-on work that blends clinical skill, relationship-building, and creativity—delivered in the real places children live, learn, and play.
As an Early Interventionist, you’ll work closely with families to support their child’s development through everyday routines and activities. Your work will be family-centered, collaborative, and strengths-based.
Key responsibilities include:
Partnering with families to promote healthy development through coaching, modeling, and developmentally appropriate activities
Developing, implementing, and reviewing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
Providing services in natural environments (homes, childcare settings, community spaces)
Managing your caseload, documentation, and service schedules in a timely and professional manner
Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, community partners, and outside providers
Supporting children and families through transitions out of Early Intervention
Participating in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
Meeting productivity standards while maintaining high-quality, family-centered care
You’re relationship-driven, organized, and passionate about early childhood development. You communicate well with families from diverse backgrounds and thrive in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
Experience working with infants and toddlers, preferably those with special needs
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Cultural humility and the ability to work respectfully with diverse families and communities
A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and required insurance
One of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, Communication Disorders, Nutrition, or a related field
Bachelor’s degree in a non-related field plus 3 years of experience working with or caring for infants and toddlers with special health care needs
High school diploma plus 6 years of relevant experience working with or caring for infants and toddlers with special health care needs
Master’s degree in a relevant Early Intervention field
At least four 3-credit courses relevant to Early Intervention
Minimum of one year of experience in Early Intervention or working with infants and toddlers with special needs
Hybrid role with both remote and onsite work
Services delivered indoors and outdoors across community settings
Mileage and travel required within assigned service area
We foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect, and we believe in empowering our staff with the tools and support they need to succeed. As a Lead Teacher, you’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive environment where your voice and contributions truly matter.
We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. If you require accommodation during the application process, please contact us at talent@cfsri.org.
